why Willie Naulls Ministries

In 1956, Willie Naulls was drafted by the St. Louis Haws, then traded early in the season to New York. He played for the Knickerbockers from 1956 to 1962. He played one season from 1962-63 for the San Francisco Warriors. Prior to completing his NBA career, he played for the Boston Celtics from 1963-66.
Founded in 1967, Willie Naulls engaged in commercial and residential real estate development, with the majority of the locations developed in minority communities throughout the Los Angeles area. During the 1980's business expanded into contract negotiations, retail operations, and auto dealership.
Wille was the head basketball coach for Westlake School for Girls from 1979-1980 .
In 1970, Willie Naulls founded and directed the non-profit, multi-racial organization which conducts year-round programs for underprivileged youth, currently reaching several thousand young people each year.
In 1993, Willie and Anne Naulls founded Willie Naulls Ministries, a 501-3-c non-profit corporation and community outreach mission work. Since 1993, the ministry efforts have resulted in College and Career Planning, Church planting, Community facility and program development, GATORS outreach and Rising Stars  Sports Ministry (develop youth through sports, academics, and Christian practices)  founding.
Willie Naulls writes the Light Bearers email  newsletter. He also has authored several books in the past decade. He speaks to various adult and youth groups upon invitiation.

We have served communities as a not for profit ministry since 1993.

In 1993, God inspired Willie Naulls Ministries, which received non-profit corporate status on 10 September 1993. A Community Outreach Mission Work. Ordained as Associate Pastor of Antelope Valley Christian Center, 20 March 1994. Began College & Career Planning Ministry at Antelope Valley Christian Center, 1994.

Community Based Development

In 1995, developed 5.6 acre, 62,300 square foot facility in Hawthorne, California, to house community-based programs, such as Your Choice Club, which foster the development of youth through alternative choices. Pioneered The Church of Common Ground, a non-denominational Christian Outreach Church Ministry, 1996.

Where Youth can become Rising Stars

Founded in 2000 the Gainesville Academy for Training Of Rising Stars (G.A.T.O.R.S.), an outreach in Gainesville, Florida. The vision is to encourage youth to develop academically, physically and spiritually into whom God created them to be. Founded in 2003 Rising Stars Sports Ministry, an outreach in Southern California, to encourage and assist youth in developing academic, physical and spiritual skills as they work to become whom God created them to be.
